Hello Tumblr, Hayley here. I really enjoy Tumblr, but I’ve been thinking that I want to have more content to my Tumblr, more things I made, along with all the usual nifty stuff I reblog. To that end, I think I’m going to try and post poems, art, and writing excerpts that I’ve done here on Tumblr.

Kicking that off here’s a poem I wrote way back in 2002. It’s free verse… I think *head tilt* I’ve never been clear on those distinctions and has a romantic and remembering or longing theme to it, you will probably notice a pattern of it.

               He and  I

He and I, I and he, wish we could
go back to where we could begin
again. Fresh and new, departing
any sin!

He and I we are stones skipped
along life’s still lake. From
childhood to adulthood we grow
oh how time does assail us, he
and I one by one. Yet no strain
is this, nor a worry should it be.
Forever it will be he and I
together in love’s day of eternity.

Hayley Frances Gross,  2002

When the snow is melting
and the ice trickles away,
I will melt my cold heart
on a lovely spring day.

When the trees are budding
and the branches they sway,
I will brush like their limbs
on a lovely spring day.

When the sun is shining
and it beams a bright ray,
I will open my heart
on a lovely spring day.

When the flowers are blooming
and they form a bouquet,
I will let go of grudges
on a lovely spring day.

I get a lot of questions about how my body and tattoos look these days.  Today was a very pretty day so vortexsophia and I did a little bit of archery practice in my backyard and I figured we might as well get some shots.

I definitely want to get back in fighting shape.  I’m looking a little soft.

And because I’m sure someone will ask, my bow is set for a 70 lb. draw.

Are you wearing a binder or is that an insane sports bra?

Insane sports bra.

Whether you’re best friends

And you never go anywhere without each other

Or you fight all the time

Or don’t know each other that well

Or even at all

Even when they annoy you

Or take your stuff

You have someone who you were born to love

And someone who was born to love you

image

You have someone who would probably die for you

Even if they wouldn’t admit it

So tell your sibling that you love them today

Even if they look at you weird

Cuz you’ll never know how lucky you are

Until you don’t have them.

boney-king-nowhere:

These days i’ve seen on Tumblr a lot of leftists talking about Baltimore. I understand that. Not only understand, I support that. But I’d like to share something. Here, in Brazil, the public schools teachers are in a strike, more specifically the teachers from the states of Paraná and Sao Paulo. Today, the teachers from Paraná organized a huge protest and they have faced a coward police brutality. While the middle-class rightwing protestors take selfies with the cops, the workers are treated like shit and suffer systematic violence by the police and government. I know these informations barely arrives in the US and other “first world countries”, but I haven’t seen one single post about it here on Tumblr (at least by the blogs I follow). What really pisses me off is the fact that some anarchists blogs, that I know they’re made by Brazilians, who had posted and reblogged a lot of stuff about Baltimore didn’t said one fucking word about those strikes. As we all know, the internationalism and the mutual aid are fundamentals principles of leftism. I’ve made this post because I truly think that everybody needs to know about this occurred. But, honestly, who gives a fuck about us in South America? Who the fuck cares about the “3rd world”? PS: oh, sorry if my english is poor, but i’m not a native speaker.

Okay apologies if the following is tmi, you have been warned…

Watching Supernatural I realized that I felt the same as the original poster. At first I was like ahhh! What does that mean? I looked back on it and realized that this has been a thing for me for a while ie before Supernatural. I think I’ve figured out the why though.

Usually use of force isn’t something I’m attracted to, especially if it’s coming from me. I worry about hurting others all the time, and as far and someone I’m intimate with force from them is very scary too.I think why the idea of exorcism is badass and exciting to me is because there’s a thing-being-force inside/dominating the person and they don’t want it, but they can’t fight it off or can’t fight it alone. The person expelling the thing-being-force does so to help the possessed person, it is a very forceful intimate manner, but it is the help to heal and the thing-being-force is very negative. Also as a history lover, there’s some much history about possession and it’s relief that there’s a lot of mythos around it too, in sort it’s got a lot of baggage to explore there.
