Science time kidlets. Did you know that mangrove trees are viviparous? That means they have live young. This is a mangrove propagule. It has roots on the bottom, and a baby leaf on the top. The mangroves drop these after they’ve been pollinated, they float out of the estuary, and hopefully tilt vertically so that they can plant them selves in the ground.
