Here is an example of something Vik says to Stern that Walter doesn’t see as a joke (and he listens to everything - kind of hypervigilant). Skarn is well aware of this and tries to protect poor little Walter. So now Walter thinks there’s a chance that a thunderstorm could kill him, even if he’s safe indoors.
