One thing I never see talked about is how in this moment, Hawkeye finally got to have agency over the power she was made warden of. She always had to carry the burden of flame alchemy but ultimately had no control over its use. When Roy goes blind, she directs the flames and kind of becomes the Flame Alchemist herself. It’s a neat detail that never really gets explored.
